ITT in Oldham & Tameside

We are committed to working together in training and retaining great teachers for schools across the region.

There are many ways that schools can get involved in teacher training; from supporting recruitment, to delivering elements of accredited provider’s courses. One of the most rewarding ways that schools engage is by hosting trainee teachers in their school and championing their success through mentoring. Through this involvement, schools and colleges gain the opportunity to recruit the talented individuals they have helped shape and develop, whilst providing professional development to staff who support and mentor the trainees. Mentors and Professional Mentors also receive guidance and support from the provider, alongside access to innovative research and practice.

Placement information

Each trainee teacher needs experience teaching in a minimum of two schools, supported by a mentor, in order to meet the Teachers’ Standards.
