Complaints:

East Manchester Teaching School Hub is committed to providing the best possible professional development programmes for teachers and leaders.  We welcome feedback, and we accept that not all of this will be positive.

Where concerns are raised, East Manchester Teaching School Hub intends for these to be dealt with fairly, openly, promptly and without prejudice.  In order to do so, The Cranmer Education Trust Complaints Policy explains what you should do if you wish to make a complaint about East Manchester Teaching School Hub.

Complaints that fall out of this procedure:

  • A concern about the Lead Provider’s programme. The Lead Provider is UCL, please email [email protected] for a copy of UCL’s complaints policy and procedure.
  • A concern about an NPQ assessment outcome.
  • A concern raised by a teacher about the outcome of their own disciplinary process.
  • A concern raised by an ECT, Mentor, Induction Tutor, NPQ  or CPD participant that relates to their own schools staff or policies and procedures.
  • A concern about a decision made under other specific regulations, such as fitness to practise.

The majority of concerns can be dealt with without resorting to the formal stages of the formal complaints procedure. East Manchester Teaching School Hub encourages those that have concerns to raise them with the appropriate person at the school, Induction Tutor, SLT  or the Director of the East Manchester Teaching School Hub.

The formal stages of the procedure should be followed when attempts to resolve concerns informally have proved unsuccessful.
