Flourishing Teacher Programme

East Manchester Teaching School Hub is proud to be working with the National Society for Education to provide the Flourishing Teacher Programme.

Teaching is one of the few professions where what you do every single day has a lasting impact on other people’s lives. It’s purposeful, It’s relational. It’s demanding. And at its best, it’s deeply fulfilling.

The Flourishing Teacher Programme was created to promote and nurture that very sense of fulfilment by creating space to think, reflect and reconnect with what brought individuals into the profession in the first place.

Programme Aims

The programme is built around a dual focus:

  • Personal Growth: Supporting teachers to deepen their understanding of who they are, what sustains them and how they can maintain a sense of purpose in a demanding profession.
  • Professional transformation: Encouraging teachers to evolve their practice in ways that are creative, inclusive and responsive to the needs of their pupils and school communities.
  • Through a blend of research-informed content, reflective activities and collaborative dialogue, participants are encouraged to think critically, challenge assumptions, and experiment with new approaches.
  • The tone is invitational rather than prescriptive because teachers are not expected to confirm to fixed models, but to engage with ideas that are both intellectually rigorous and emotionally resonant.

Who is it for?

  • Do you have teachers who are ready to deepen their sense of purpose and move from strong practice to truly intentional, high-impact teaching?
  • Do you have staff who are motivated to strengthen the quality of relationships in their classrooms, creating even greater belonging and engagement for pupils?
  • Do you have teachers who want to refine and elevate their teaching so learning becomes more engaging, adaptive, and impactful for all pupils?
  • Do you have practitioners who are ready to invest in their long-term professional growth, contributing more fully to a culture of shared excellence across the school?
